The Duel Condition

Dominic Savio was 14 when he died, but he had already achieved a remarkable level of holiness. He was a student at St. John Bosco’s Oratory in Turin, an apostolate for the boys of Turin. Most of the boys at the Oratory were off the streets, and John Bosco, alongside other priests and young men, worked to give them a home, a place for wholesome interaction, jobs, and catechesis. Dominic Savio was a witness to holiness in this rough-and-tumble crowd.

John Bosco wrote a biography of St. Dominic Savio called The Life of Dominic Savio. Another book on the saint we like is Dominic Savio: Teenage Saint by Peter Lappin.
